Private Lessons

While the school orchestra room is where we learn to perform as an ensemble, the private studio is where your student learns to master their individual instrument.

Private lessons are the single most effective way to unlock a student's full potential and bridge the gap between group instruction and individual excellence.

The best musicians in the world have taken private lessons and most still do even after reaching peak levels of their career. And it starts from the beginning. It is never too late or too early to enroll in the private lesson program to gain individual, tailored instruction.

High School & Junior High: Lessons outside of school can easily cost $60-$100+ an hour.  District approved private teachers provide lessons for the low rate of $22 per half hour.  Scholarship applications are also available through the BAOC through application.  If your student is interested in lessons or wants to try them out - Berkner directors want to make it happen.  We are open to discussing any questions or obstacles to make this happen for your student(s). 

Beginners may take lessons outside the school day at one of the Jr. High campuses or at Bekner depending on arrangements made by the private instructor.
