It is an elite, audition-only group that brings together the highest-performing string musicians from the Orchestra program and percussion players from the Mighty Ram Band. Just like a varsity athletic team, membership requires an elite level of individual skill, absolute dedication, and a competitive drive to perform at the highest standard

The Berkner Philharmonic Orchestra is our premier advanced, non-varsity string ensemble. Composed primarily of dedicated upperclassmen alongside standout underclassmen, this group serves as the essential training ground for high-level string performance The Philharmonic focuses purely on mastering advanced string orchestra literature, sharpening individual technique, and building deep ensemble cohesion to prepare musicians for the elite demands of the varsity level.
Sinfonia Orchestra

The Berkner Sinfonia Orchestra is where our advanced freshman string players find their footing. It is designed specifically for ninth graders who are ready to push past middle school basics and jump straight into a high school challenge. Sinfonia is all about high expectations and fast learning. It gives freshmen a space to connect with other dedicated musicians, level up their playing, and get a true taste of what makes our orchestra program so unique.

Concert Orchestra focuses on growth, confidence, and teamwork. It gives string players a supportive environment to refine their technique, learn the dynamics of large-group playing, and discover their individual potential within the program.
